15 YEARS of h.u.n.t BAGS - the journey just begun..


The passion of a free spirited philosopher-tanner Adhar Sahni, to create handbags that would celebrate urban sensibilities, made out of natural, ageless, lustrous, soulfully tanned - genuine leathers, led to the beginning of journey named h.u.n.t in the year 2000.

Naina, wife of Adhar brought in a new thrust and dimension to the brand when she joined the organization in the year 2008 by personally checking every part of the design and bag that is built for utility and style.

It all started with Adhar’s mother bringing home a handbag from a reputed store thinking it to be leather. As it turned out, it was faux-leather. A bag bought with so much love and trust had turned into a piece of deceit. Imagine how many people around the world are short thrift this way each day every day. This is when Adhar decided to start his own brand that would sell honestly only genuine leather.

Blending Simplicity and Style h.u.n.t epitomizes its philosophy of being honest, natural and simple.

Be it bags or other accessories, every product in this collection is starkly uncomplicated and incredibly stylish.

The quality leather products speak of their passion for fine leather craftsmanship. The brand consciously uses only genuine leather produced under the strict supervision of their own tanners. Thus h.u.n.t bags and wallets maintain the timeless appeal and luster of pure leather.




Keeping abreast of leading trends around the world the h.u.n.t design team is led by Italian stylist and transformed in house by Palak - a designer trained in Italy for over 4 years.

Strategy of Expansion:

The h.u.n.t started with a flagship store in Chandigarh. Soon it was made available at leading departmental stores in India across Shoppers Stop, Metro, Pyramid; Saga and many boutiques. The export market firstly began with Russia in 2005. Soon after Germany, South Africa, USA, Slovenia and many others followed on. Today, h.u.n.t is available over 700+ multi brand outlets and leather goods stores across the world.

Online h.u.n.t is sold over couple of portals including its own.





The company is based out of Kolkata - the enigmatic city of simplicity and joy.



The h.u.n.t brand has an assortment of men & women - "to-go" bags, office-laptop, in-flight and gym bags, along with wallets and small leather goods in its collections - all made in genuine leather.



h.u.n.t has launched CSR initiative in the year 2011 by distributing computers to underprivileged students as a part of CSR activity.

Having set up our factory in pollution free leather goods designated area in the Leather Goods Park, Bantalla, h.u.n.t has actively encouraged training and employing local women folk from nearby villages for the factory. Helping them to attain self-reliance and improve their standard of living.
